DigMod is currently looking for an Infrastructure Technician II to support the Network and Cabling Infrastructure (NetCI) Program for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) in delivering secure, reliable, and high-performance enterprise network services throughout the Hampton Roads region. The Infrastructure Technician provides cable plant and physical network infrastructure support for the JPH environment. The role supports installation, maintenance, and documentation of structured cabling systems and physical network infrastructure required to maintain connectivity across the JPH facilities. The position supports infrastructure Moves/Adds/Changes (MACs) and assists with installation of network endpoints and voice infrastructure.
Cable Plant Operations
Install and maintain structured network cabling infrastructure.
Perform cable installation, termination, testing, labeling, and documentation.
Maintain cable plant documentation and ensure accuracy of physical infrastructure records.
Infrastructure MAC Support
Perform Moves, Adds, and Changes (MACs) involving network cabling and physical connectivity.
Install patch panels, fiber runs, and copper infrastructure supporting network devices.
Voice Infrastructure Support
Infrastructure Coordination
Required Qualifications
Clearance: Active Secret clearance required. TS upgrade in progress.
BS degree and 2 – 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
Experience supporting Protected Distribution Systems (PDS).
Experience installing Cisco VoIP/VoSIP phones in NIPR and SIPR environments.
Structured cabling installation and physical layer network infrastructure experience.
Strong attention to detail (small mistakes can become security incidents)
Ability to work in high-security, sometimes classified environments
Professionalism when handling sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of DoD network architecture
Experience with Cisco switches/routers is a plus
Strict SOPs and change control processes
Experience using SolarWinds, Splunk, or similar tools
Knowledge and experience with VoIP/VTC collaboration systems
Knowledge and experience with data center networking
Experience with firewalls and firewall rule sets
Understanding of network virtualization

Pay Range:
Pay Range $73,450.00 - $132,775.00
