About IPSD:
Caterpillar’s Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) designs, tests and manufactures 0.5 to 18L engines that not only power Caterpillar machines, but also power over 5000 other applications including Marine, Petroleum, Industrial Applications, Electric Generators, and Locomotives. Caterpillar’s company strategy includes sustainability as one of four focus areas and IPSD is engaged and actively preparing green energy solutions for the future.
Job Summary:
As the Foreign Trade Analyst, you will be responsible for managing daily customs operation, import/export, on-time delivery activities, and procedures to ensure compliance with Customs and Border Protection as well as Foreign Trade Zone Board policies. In addition, you will support the day to day logistics operations of the facility through collaboration with the shipping and receiving teams.
What You Will Do:
• Coordinating procedures across functions for the import and export management to ensure the execution of compliant shipments and foster a cooperative atmosphere towards customer service.
• Monitoring special programs of import/export accounts; assisting in the obtaining and preparing all necessary documentations in related logistics business.
• Daily / Weekly / Annual filings to Customs and Border Protection regarding FTZ entries from the facility into US Commerce (7501, 214, 216, Annual FTZ Board Reports, etc)
• Perform daily compliance and process review audits to ensure ongoing inventory integrity and adjusting as needed to remain compliant with inventory record accuracy requirements.
• Work closely with IPSD Global Supply Chain team to ensure timely clearance of inbound international shipments and on time filings by freight forwarders of all required paperwork to Customs and Border Protection
• Serve as the site subject matter expert on import/export requirements and attend annual training with the North American Foreign Trade Zone trade association to remain up to date with current policies and practices by CBP.

Import/Export - MFG: Knowledge of issues, procedures, tools and practices of importing and exporting; ability to import and export goods to and from international locations.
Logistics Management: Knowledge of logistics and management; ability to follow proper processes and run operations for effective and efficient movement of materials and finished products.
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Transportation - MFG: Knowledge of transportation; ability to transport materials and goods to and from suppliers, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities and customers.

Summary Pay Range:
$89,210.00 - $133,810.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
