The Director, Government Relations position is focused on successful execution of GE Aerospace global policy and and government relations objectives. You will provide expert guidance and advice to government relations and business leaders across GE Aerospace.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Serves as a key advisor and action officer in support of executing GE Aerospace's government affairs and legislative strategy.
- Serves as a key advisor and partner to key GE Aerospace leaders. Collaborates across GE Aerospace to ensure alignment.
- Works with key Members of Congress and staff on relevant House and Senate committees to achieve positive policy outcomes for GE Aerospace.
- Develops and implements business strategies to secure legislative and policy outcomes favorable to the company.
- Advises senior management on foreign military sales and direct commercial sales issues. Understand USG policy barriers and shape DC-based policy impact strategies to break down these barriers.
- Maintains key relationships with Departments of State, Commerce, USTR and other relevant regulatory and government entities where necessary.
- Interacts and collaborates with industry peers and suppliers to promote policy goals.
- Represents GE Aerospace at various government and industry association meetings.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; amaster’s degreein public policy, international relations, law, economics, business, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in agovernment relations rolein a large multinational company, trade association, or in senior roles with one or more U.S. government departments and agencies, or comparable policy institutions
Desired Characteristics:
- Substantial demonstrated policy experience ininternational trade, tax, export policy, and/or export controls, including practical understanding of how these policies impact aerospace and defense businesses.
- Significant experience interacting with officials fromdifferent countries and cultures, including foreign governments, embassies, and international organizations.
- Demonstrated experienceadvocating before Congress and/or the Executive Branch, or equivalent high‑level government engagement, on complex policy matters.
- Highly effectivecommunications skillswith internal and external stakeholders; demonstrated skill in synthesizing complex information from multiple sources, identifying and analyzing the most relevant points for specific audiences, and communicating effectively verbally and in written formats, including PowerPoint and briefing materials.
- Strategic thinkerwho can translate policy developments into business implications and advocacy strategies, and who consistentlyachieves results.
- Ability to act withurgency, able to prioritize decisions, manage multiple issues concurrently, andmitigate riskwhere needed in a dynamic policy environment.
- Self‑motivated, dedicated team playerwith a keen sense of accountability, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively across a matrixed global organization.
Pay and Benefits:
- The base pay range for this position is $186,000 - 250,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on March 29, 2026.
