Job Description Summary
Are you ready to see your career take flight? At GE Aerospace, we believe the world works better when it flies. We are a world-leading provider of jet engines, components, and integrated systems for commercial and military aircraft. We have a relentless dedication to the future of safe and more sustainable flight and believe in our talented people to make it happen.
The Senior Systems Dynamics Engineer will play a key technical role in the design, analysis, and validation of advanced aerospace systems and components for GE Aerospace programs. In this role, you will lead the development of dynamic models, simulations, and control-focused analyses spanning mechanical, electrical, and thermal domains to support system architecture decisions, requirements definition, and verification activities. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including systems engineering, controls, mechanical design, test engineering, and program management to ensure system performance, stability, and robustness across the full operating envelope.
In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of product dynamics qualification and support across product life cycles including research, development, verification, qualification, production, and field investigations.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining high-fidelity system-level dynamic models (using tools such as MATLAB/Simulink or similar), performing transient and steady-state analyses, conducting sensitivity and trade studies, and supporting requirements allocation and validation for critical dynamic behaviors (e.g., vibration, loads, control interactions, and transient response). You will interpret test data, correlate models to hardware results, and provide technical guidance on mitigation strategies for dynamic issues discovered during design, integration, and test.
As a senior level engineer, you will also mentor junior engineers, provide technical leadership on complex engineering problems, and contribute to continuous improvement of modeling methods, processes, and standard work. You will prepare and present clear technical reviews, reports, and design recommendations to internal stakeholders and customers, ensuring that safety, quality, and reliability are integral to all system dynamics decisions. This position requires strong analytical skills, a systems mindset, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment supporting current products and future aerospace technologies.
