Description:We are seeking an experienced Digital Transformation System Architect to support the development and evolution of Aero’s business architecture. You will drive model-based enterprise and systems engineering practices using Cameo Enterprise Architecture to create comprehensive, traceable architectural models. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in SysML and/or UAF to define strategic capabilities, operational processes, resource structures, and digital ecosystem integrations—enabling alignment across business strategy, operations, technology roadmaps, and transformation initiatives.
You will collaborate with subject matter experts, business leaders, solution architects, engineers, and digital transformation teams to establish a living, standards-compliant architecture that supports agile digital evolution, capability planning, and decision-making. This role is critical for Aero’s successful digital transformation.
You will:
• Support the design, development, and maintenance of Aero’s business architecture using model-based approaches in Cameo.
• Build and refine enterprise-level models using SysML, UAF (Unified Architecture Framework), or related profiles to capture strategy-to-execution traceability, including capabilities, operations, services, resources, personnel, and security/resilience aspects.
• Translate business objectives, digital transformation goals, and stakeholder needs into structured architectural models that enable interoperability, scalability, and future-proofing.
• Perform architecture analysis, trade studies, and impact assessments to evaluate transformation options, technology insertions, and modernization strategies.
• Establish modeling standards, guidelines, and best practices for Cameo-based MBSE/enterprise architecture work within the organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate business architecture with system/solution architectures and ensure end-to-end traceability.
• Generate reports, visualizations, and presentations from models to communicate architecture insights to executives, stakeholders, and delivery teams.
• Support governance processes by maintaining model integrity, version control, and configuration management in Cameo environments.
Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in STEM.
• Respective experience in systems architecture, enterprise architecture, or model-based systems engineering (MBSE), with a focus on digital transformation or large-scale business change initiatives.
• Strong hands-on proficiency with Cameo for building and managing complex models.
• Required experience in SysML and/or UAF (Unified Architecture Framework);
Desired Skills:• Certification (e.g., OMG SysML Model User/Builder, UAF-related) is a strong plus.
• Proven track record developing business/enterprise architectures that bridge strategy, operations, and technology in transformation programs.
• Familiarity with architecture frameworks (e.g., DoDAF, TOGAF, or equivalents) and how UAF/SysML profiles support them.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to present complex architectural concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with requirements traceability, capability-based planning, and model-driven decision support.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience integrating Cameo models with other tools (e.g., requirements management, simulation, or enterprise repositories).
• Knowledge of BPMN or other complementary modeling notations.
• Background in defense, aerospace, government, or large-scale commercial digital transformation environments.
• Understanding of agile/digital methodologies and DevOps practices in architecture contexts.
