Description:You will be the Research Scientist Staff for the F-35 Signature Integration team which is responsible for maintaining and advancing the F-35 low‑observable technology and coordinating with both internal and external customers.

- Maintain and enhance existing low‑observable technologies to meet performance goals.
- Lead exploratory research projects that address emerging stealth requirements.
- Coordinate technical solutions with internal teams and external partners.
- Provide expert analysis and recommendations to support system integration.
- Ensure all work complies with security and safety standards.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree or above in Physics, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering, or Optics
• Understanding of System Engineering elements
• U.S. Citizenship
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
Desired Skills:• Previous experience in low observables (LO), supportable LO, RCS testing from zonal to pole model to flight testing.
• Experience with LO integration / multi-discipline air vehicle systems design
• Programming with Matlab, C/C++, Java, Python
• CAD software literacy for model cleanup and meshing.
• Tableau dashboard development and maintenance to display information to management
• Experience in Root-Cause Corrective Action process to identify and correct signature related concerns
• Customer experience through combined projects, briefings and onsite visits
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Top Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
