Job Description:
This position works extensively with Concurrent Process and Product Development (CPPD) teams and demonstrates an understanding of concurrent process and product development concepts. Situations will require the incumbent to contribute to team discussions, negotiate, and discuss the strengths and weaknesses of different options.
Job Responsibilities:
This position requires experience in drafting and design, standards management and development, and systems engineering or technical data management. The key function is to use engineering data systems and procedures.
Key areas of responsibility in this role include:
- Creating 3D models
- Assisting engineers with design problem resolution
- Training others in the use of design tools and systems
- Ensuring that change and revision documentation complies with established engineering practices and that service data is maintained within corporate engineering data systems
- Demonstrating the ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers and suppliers
- Identifying, creating, developing, or managing regulations, standards, or technical data
This position requires advanced skills in graphic systems and daily application of related tools. The role receives minimal assistance from more experienced technicians and engineers to complete daily tasks. The Technician interacts with both internal and external customers and can expect to experience some or all of the following: direct contact with suppliers, customers, machines, and components; working in the field and at test sites to observe, operate, and test products or components.

This role requires continuous learning through experience and staying current with technological changes. Learning focuses on methods and processes applied to engineering functions, practical application of technical skills, communication, and development of knowledge related to Caterpillar products.
Educational Requirement:
Completed university degree.
A basic to intermediate level of English is required, with good oral and written communication skills.

- Knowledge of computer modeling tools or technical data systems.
Product Design
- Working knowledge in the application of technical practices.

- Location for this position is Santa Catarina.
- National relocation is not available.
- Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:24 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
