We’re seeking a strategic, data driven Fleet Demand Planning & Analytics Lead to forecast and analyze North American rental fleet needs for large scale major projects. This role is central to ensuring the Major Projects rental fleet is equipped with the right fleet mix, capacity, and readiness to serve complex, long duration construction, infrastructure, and hyperscale major projects.
What You Will Do:
- Lead national fleet demand forecasting by analyzing project pipelines, asset utilization patterns, and emerging opportunities across major projects exceeding $2B in valuation.
- Build, maintain, and refine predictive models to quantify future fleet requirements, highlight supply gaps, and support strategic planning for Major Projects rental fleet.
- Consolidate fleet demand signals from industry data, Cat dealers, Caterpillar Managed & Rental National Accounts teams to create a unified North American Major Projects fleet demand view aligned to long term growth.
- Partner with dealers’ operations & asset management teams, Cat Financial, and business development / sales teams to inform fleet acquisition strategies, equipment staging decisions, and readiness planning for multi‑year project cycles.
- Develop dashboards, analytics packages, and executive ready insights that guide investment decisions, optimize fleet mix, and improve coverage across North American major project opportunities.
- Identify risks, structural bottlenecks, and optimization opportunities within the Major Projects ecosystem, recommending scalable solutions that enhance fleet availability, allocation, and responsiveness.
What You Have:
- Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.
- Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
- Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
- Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.

Summary Pay Range:
$128,470.00 - $192,710.00
