Job Summary and Qualifications
Position Summary: The Stress Lab / Registered Nurse ensures quality non-invasive cardiac stress testing on inpatient and outpatients for various age groups adolescent adult, and geriatric patients. Responsible for meeting the Standards of Practice for the EKG stress testing area and managing all assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment.
Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for assigned patients.
Initiates Code Blue and implements life-saving measures, per BLS/ACLS protocol
Assesses patients in an ongoing manner, per protocol.
Responsible for maintaining customer friendly atmosphere.
Responsible for assessment of the patient with telemetry monitoring.
Models and reinforces behavior consistent with goals for teaching the patient, communicate patient status to appropriate members of the healthcare team, and provides support to the patient and family, as needed.
Participates in activities to plan, measure, assess, and improve the quality of patient care
Enters patient procedural and supply charges appropriately
Education & Qualifications:
Active New Hampshire nursing license
American Heart Association BCLS required
American Heart Association ACLS required within 30 days of hire
Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred
Two years of recent clinical experience in an acute setting cardiovascular experience required
Two years of previous charge nurse/supervisory experience required
Five years of cardiac nursing experience is preferred
MBA preferred
