Director of Business Services – Bengaluru, India
Role Overview:
The Director of will play a pivotal role in building and managing a team of 15+ professionals responsible for customer project closeouts, accounts payable, purchase order compliance, and project controls operations support. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Commercial Operations and offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of business services within a large-scale EPC environment. The Director will oversee back-office operations, spearhead process improvements and automation, and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements. While primarily focused on internal operations, this leader may also participate in select customer-facing meetings to support alignment and performance delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Establish and lead a team of 15+ professionals covering project closeouts, accounts payable, PO compliance, and project controls operations support.
• Develop scalable business service processes that ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Drive process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and audit readiness requirements.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for team members.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders in finance, operations, and commercial teams across global locations.
• Report to the Vice President of Commercial Operations with performance updates, process improvement outcomes, and compliance status.
• Represent business services in select customer meetings to ensure alignment with client expectations.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or a related discipline required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in business services, finance operations, or commercial telecom operations.
• At least 5 years of management experience, with demonstrated ability to build and scale teams.
• Strong background in global shared services or business process outsourcing (BPO) environments.
• Proficiency with enterprise systems such as PeopleSoft, Costpoint, and reporting tools such as Power BI.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management credential is a plus.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work in a dynamic, cross-cultural environment.
Work Setup
This role is a full-time, on-site position based in India. The Director of Business Services will be expected to work closely with global stakeholders and deliver high standards of operational excellence within a collaborative team culture.
