Description:Lockheed Martin’s Center for Innovation (CFI), also known as The Lighthouse, represents the intersection of LM’s commitment to national defense and passion for innovation. It serves as the center for defense tech, multidomain integration, experimentation, wargaming, tabletop exercises, modeling and simulation, and decision analysis in both real and synthetic environments. The CFI Operations team is hiring a Project Engineer Staff.
What You Will Be Doing:In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
• Control Account Management for the Operations Team
• Working with multidisciplinary engineering, procurement, technical operations and project management teams, utilizing standard program management tools to balance cost, schedule and risks
• Assembling, preparing, and briefing Monthly Operating Review for budget and labor utilization
• Developing metrics and managing data for the operations team
• Developing technical briefs and papers for the center director and Mission Development and Integration Vice President
• Event Management supporting internal and external Lockheed customer engagement and projects

They excel at cross‑functional communication, foster collaboration across teams, and proactively mitigate risks. Essential soft skills include clear communication, strong problem‑solving, adaptability, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive, interpersonal approach.
Further Information About This Opportunity:This role requires heavy onsite work. Eligibility for Secret clearance is required.
Basic Qualifications:• Experience with project management process and tools, including control account management, schedules, and risk management
• Experience with schedule development and management
• Familiarity with the engineering domain
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including speaking about, briefing and writing complex technical data
• Proficiency in MS Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project, MS Teams, SharePoint)
• Eligibility for Secret clearance
Desired Skills:• Experience with IT Systems Engineering
• Comfort and familiarity with use of Artificial Intelligence software and agents in a working setting
• Proven multi-disciplinary project leadership
• Masters degree in technical or business discipline
• Active Secret clearance or higher

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
