This FLIGHT DECK Leader partners with the Procurement & Supplier Management Operations team, Supply Chain leaders, front line leaders, and subject matter experts to drive transformation as part of our Production System Hoshin Kanri.
As a hands-on business partner, you will share accountability for business results by executing process creation, identifying process improvement opportunities, and supporting teams. Additionally, you will apply problem-solving techniques, lead kaizen events, and champion other FLIGHT DECK fundamentals to deliver PPI, KPI and TTI improvements.
Job Description
In the role of IMAT FLIGHT DECK Coach at GE Aerospace, you will be a pivotal force in integrating and advancing our FLIGHT DECK lean operating model through cross functional team collaboration. Your expertise will drive operational excellence, ensuring our processes are aligned with the core principles of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC).
- FLIGHT DECK Leadership and Culture: Champion the FLIGHT DECK lean operating model, fostering a customer-driven culture of respect for people, continuous improvement, and servant leadership.
- Supplier Team Activation & Maturity: Continue the design and improvement of Supplier Team Launch Process. Scale supplier team launch from 90 to 200+ . Define current state team maturity and develop an action plan to improve maturity score by 80%+.
- Strategic FLIGHT DECK Implementation: Define and manage the implementation of lean standards and processes, ensuring seamless integration of FLIGHT DECK principles in both transactional and operational aspects.
- Operational Excellence: Drive operational excellence by utilizing lean tools and methodologies to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics, directly impacting customer value and business performance.
- Change Management and Coaching: Utilize exceptional change management skills to lead transformation efforts, coaching and mentoring teams and leadership in FLIGHT DECK principles and problem-solving methodologies.
- Rate & SWIP Attainment: Coach and partner with frontline teams to reduce the # of parts with WIP below SWIP and improve parts hitting rate attainment by 50%. Drive transformation on proactive problem solving.
- Kaizen and Continuous Improvement: Lead and facilitate kaizen events, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence through hands-on engagement and coaching.
- FLIGHT DECK Strategy and Training: Continuously develop the lean strategy aligned with FLIGHT DECK principles. Execute comprehensive lean training programs to enhance team capabilities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work across the organizational matrix to align strategy and vision with business process improvements.
- Performance Metrics and Improvement: Define, track, and report on KPIs and/or TTIs, driving measurable improvements
- Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively interface with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring technology and processes are positioned for success, aligning with GE Aerospace's strategic objectives.
This role is designed for a visionary leader passionate about lean principles and eager to make a significant impact within GE Aerospace's Delivery operations, leveraging the FLIGHT DECK model to achieve operational excellence and drive business success.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 5 years of Supply Chain / manufacturing experience)
- Minimum of 5 years of Supply Chain / manufacturing experience
- 3+ years of experience in teaching, coaching, practicing, and applying transactional lean methods (i.e. Visual/Daily Management, VSM, 5S, kaizen, standard work, leader standard work, problem solving, Hoshin Kanri, trystorming)
- Must be willing and able to travel up to 25%.

Pay and Benefits:
The base pay range for this position is $142,000 - $190,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on April 17th, 2026.
