Overview
The Senior Buyer / Planner is responsible for planning, coordination, and control of all maintenance and operational work execution across East Hanover and associated sites. This role owns CMMS planning outputs, including work order prioritization, backlog management, and work package readiness, ensuring alignment between workload, resource capacity, and operational priorities. The Planner ensures labor, materials, and vendor resources are fully aligned to support efficient execution across maintenance, utilities, and critical systems. The role coordinates shutdowns, outages, and planned work to minimize disruption to laboratory and operational environments. This position ensures alignment between planned work and actual execution through data-driven performance tracking.
Compensation: $64,668.00/YR
The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
Shift: Monday - Friday from 8:00AM - 5:00PM EST

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Owns CMMS planning, scheduling, and backlog management, including work order prioritization and execution readiness
- Develops and maintains maintenance plans aligned to asset criticality, operational risk, and SLA requirements
- Aligns labor, materials, and vendor resources to ensure efficient and timely execution of all planned work
- Coordinates shutdowns, outages, and planned maintenance activities to minimize operational disruption
- Supports forecasting, procurement coordination, and inventory alignment to ensure material availability
- Monitors execution performance (backlog, schedule adherence, completion rates) and drives planning accuracy improvements
- Ensures work packages are fully prepared, including job plans, materials, permits, and safety requirements
- Works closely with engineering, inventory, and subcontract teams to ensure alignment between planning and execution
Qualifications
Experience & Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or operations coordination
- Strong experience using CMMS systems (Corrigo) for planning and work management
- Experience in facilities, engineering, or maintenance environments
- Understanding of maintenance workflows, asset criticality, and work order processes
- APICS or supply chain certification preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and coordination skills
- Experience in life sciences, manufacturing, or complex operational environments preferred
