Pratt & Whitney, a division of RTX, is seeking a Principal Specialist, Quality Systems and Compliance at our North Berwick Aerospace Systems (NBAS) facility. The successful candidate will require a strong understanding of AS9100, ISO 9001, have effective communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
What You Will Do:
The Principal Specialist, Quality Systems and Compliance, Internal Audit will perform internal audits with minimal guidance. The Principal Specialist, Quality Systems and Compliance, Internal Audit will plan and conduct internal QMS audits for compliance with the AS9100 standard in support of Pratt & Whitney’s Quality Management System.

Perform responsibilities such as audit team selection; audit planning; representing the audit team with Pratt & Whitney’s site stakeholders; conducting opening and closing meetings and daily debriefs with stakeholders; completing an audit report; and issuing, reviewing, and approving formal corrective actions.

Prepare the site for the FAA/DOD, Quality System Effectiveness (QSE), Enterprise Quality Audit Team (EQAT) and registrar audit schedules, logistics, and closure of corrective actions.

Serve as liaison and interface to the Pratt & Whitney’s Certification body (registrar) during site certification or recertification audits, and FAA/DOD, QSE, and EQAT audits.

Perform other audits as deemed appropriate at the site.

Facilitate corrective action responses with process owners, including advanced root cause analysis resources.

Ensure corrective actions are effectively implemented and closed as scheduled.
Qualification You Must Have:
-
A Bachelor's Degree and minimum 5 years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, project management, quality or similar environment OR Master's Degree and minimum 3 years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, project management, quality or similar environment.

In absence of a degree, High School Diploma/GED and 9 or more years of experience

Demonstrated proficiency working within a group setting and interfacing directly with a third-party logistics team.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Demonstrated ability to work with and motivate internal/external customers and cross-disciplinary team members.
Qualifications We Prefer:

Strong understanding of ISO 9000 quality management standards or equivalent frameworks.

Working experience in auditing to AS9100 standards.

ISO9001 / AS9100 / AS9110 Internal or Lead Auditor certification.

American Society for Quality Certification/Certified Quality Auditor Certification (ASQ/CQA) Certification or equivalent.

Additional certifications such as Six Sigma or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).

Proficient in the use of continuous improvement tools, such as robust root cause analysis (RRCA) and principles of lean manufacturing.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
