Micron’s Core Data Center Business Unit (CDBU) manages Micron’s world-class portfolio of Data Center SSDs, the NAND component roadmap, and DRAM solutions for OEM customers.
A Senior Member of the Technical Staff is an integral member of the CDBU. In this role you will be responsible for envisioning and enabling the future of our SSD and NAND technology internally and externally. You will develop deep technical engagements with customers and partners to identify key future technology trends, evaluate system-level benefits and behaviors and the dependence of storage on them, and set technical strategies for product roadmaps in a fast-paced, agile environment, closely partnering with business, R&D, and technology teams in Micron.
Responsibilities:

Define and drive the medium‑ to long‑term technology vision for high‑performance storage in evolving system architectures

Identify and shape new business opportunities through collaboration with engineering, operations, and ecosystem partners

Lead Quarterly Technology Reviews and strategic tech engagements with customers and partners

Represent the company in industry organizations, standards bodies, and public forums

Analyze market and competitive trends to guide roadmap and product differentiation
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, or equivalent experience
-
Proven technical leadership delivering datacenter solutions
-
Deep knowledge of PCIe, NVMe, NAND flash, and SSD architectures

Understanding of system‑level performance across diverse workloads, including AI/ML infrastructure

Ability to articulate strategy, engage customers, and build credibility
Preferred Qualifications:

MBA or advanced technical degree
-
Experience in enterprise storage or hyperscale system architectures
-
Familiarity with emerging memory and storage technologies
-
Experience guiding prototyping, system modeling, or architectural simulations

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$177,000.00 - $387,000.00 a year
Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
