Join our dynamic team as a Forklift Operator on the second shift on a 2-2-3 schedule, where your skills will drive efficiency and safety in our warehouse operations. In this vital role, you will operate heavy equipment, including forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks, to load, unload, and move materials across the facility. Your expertise in warehouse distribution and materials handling will ensure timely order picking and shipping & receiving processes. Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment to load and unload shipments efficiently
- Pick orders accurately using RF scanners and pick systems to fulfill customer requests
- Load and unload materials with precision, ensuring proper stacking and storage on pallets or shelves
- Assist with shipping & receiving activities, verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and mechanical integrity
- Support warehouse management system updates for inventory accuracy and order tracking
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize space utilization and workflow processes
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, and materials handling
- Certification or experience operating forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment
- Strong knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to warehouse operations
- Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues quickly and safely
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for efficient inventory control
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during order picking and load/unload tasks
- Construction or heavy equipment operation experience is a plus for versatility in handling various machinery
