Overview
The Quality Health Safety Environmental Manager is accountable for all Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental systems across associated sites, including laboratory, warehouse, and infrastructure environments. This role owns all QHSE outputs defined in the SoW, including audit readiness, compliance management, CAPA, and incident investigation. The Manager establishes and maintains a structured Quality Management System (QMS), including documentation control, deviation management, and regulatory alignment. The role ensures compliance with environmental, safety, and site-specific regulatory requirements, including DEA and environmental systems. This position drives a culture of quality, safety, and compliance while supporting readiness for future regulated (GxP/GMP-adjacent) environments.
Compensation: $90,000 - $125,000 annual salary

Responsibilities
- Owns and governs all QHSE systems, including audits, CAPA, compliance tracking, and performance reporting
- Leads incident investigations, RCA’s, and corrective and preventive actions
- Establishes and maintains QMS processes, including SOP alignment, documentation control, and deviation tracking
- Ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including environmental, safety, and site-specific (e.g., DEA, wastewater, environmental systems)
- Oversees audit readiness, including internal audits, external inspections, and regulatory compliance support
- Partners with engineering and operations to ensure all services are executed in alignment with QHSE standards
Maintains audit-ready records and ensures all compliance documentation is accurate, complete, and current
Drives continuous improvement initiatives related to QHSE performance
- 7–12 years of experience in QHSE, safety, environmental, or quality management roles
- Experience implementing and managing QMS and audit programs in complex or regulated environments
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards (9001, 14001) and compliance frameworks
- Experience managing incident investigations, CAPA programs, and regulatory reporting
- Familiarity with environmental systems, hazardous materials, and compliance programs
- CSP, CHMM, or equivalent certifications preferred
- OSHA 30 certification required
Experience in life sciences, healthcare, or regulated environments strongly preferred
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field (master’s preferred).
- Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years of QHSE experience in a pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of managing compliance programs and leading safety initiatives.
Certifications:
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), or equivalent preferred.
