Who we’re looking for
The Lexus Sales Department is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Lexus Sales Senior Analyst.
Reporting to the Lexus Sales Planning Manager, as a Senior Sales Analyst for Lexus, you will be responsible for driving sales insights, analyzing market trends, and supporting the strategic decision-making process to optimize the brand's sales performance. You will work closely with senior leadership, marketing, demand and supply, product teams and sales teams to develop forecasts, identify growth opportunities, and deliver actionable insights that align with Lexus’ overall goals and objectives. This role requires a combination of analytical expertise, strategic thinking, and in-depth, confident knowledge of the automotive industry.
Role, Responsibility & Expectations
Prepare monthly presentations for meetings with internal teams. Meetings include reviewing key series performance, competitor performance, inventory levels, transaction prices and incentive trends.
Complete various reports that are distributed monthly to all of Lexus departments, including: Retail & Fleet Sales Trackers, Lexus month end results/deck
Collaborate with other departments such as Marketing, Incentives, Product Planning, and Demand & Supply to support Lexus Sales initiatives.
Support administrative coordination tasks of the Area, (GM Meetings, Lexus Dealer Council, Fireside Chats, Field Traveler of the Year trip prep, etc.)
Manage the Lexus Sales Pool units and work closely with ITG
Handle and review all vehicle requests and approvals from ITG and Team Members
Review Sales Pool Report and make sure vehicles are maintained alongside ITG, perform audits in vehicle request forms to make sure they are filled out appropriately prior to checking out sales pool vehicles
Lead quarterly meetings on Lexus Sales Pool and updates
Produce monthly new vehicle sales objectives by Area and objectives by model. Work with Business Analytics to automate process for efficiency
Analyze and leverage quarterly and yearly sales figures, monitor the progress toward Lexus sales targets and share any potential challenges along the way with Executive and Management teams throughout the division
Market & Competitive Analysis
Monitor industry and market trends to assess competitive positioning, including working with the incentives and pricing teams, demand and supply, product offerings, and promotional strategies
Conduct competitive analysis to benchmark Lexus sales against competitors and identify opportunities for growth, big picture and by PMA (Primary Market Area) along with vehicle model build strategy to be profitable
Sales Strategy Support
Collaborate with the Lexus Product Marketing team to provide data-driven insights that shape sales strategies, trends, and new product launches. Assisting with the Area feedback and overall demand and trends.
Support the sales leadership team in the development and execution of sales strategies, ensuring alignment with overall brand objectives.
Engage at times with Area and Dealer network teams to communicate analysis findings and assist with implementation and/or drafts for the Areas to communicate with their Dealers
Review Digital website trends such as pricing on models on Dealer web page
Understand and prepare emissions regulations analysis for BEV and GHG for vehicle allocations
Operational Efficiency
Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency, optimize inventory management and production and profit opportunities
Streamline reporting processes, remove muda and duplicate reporting
Develop and implement tools and spreadsheets that help see the big picture of sales activity of various Lexus models in the different geographic metro locations
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with the Lexus marketing, product, pricing, and demand and supply teams to ensure the sales analysis is aligned with current inventory levels, market demand, and upcoming product launches. This will include Area marketing spend (Roll your Own) and LDA spend analysis
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) or equivalent professional work experience
Toyota or Lexus Field experience
Demonstrated business-related experience and business intelligence
Strong strategic and analytical skills
Self-motivation and initiative
Proficient in MS Office with a strong emphasis Excel and PowerPoint
Exceptional interpersonal skills include thoroughness, problem-solving, verbal & written communication, and relationship management with the ability to influence and make impact
Expertise in data analysis tools such as Excel, Power Point, Sales Cube, and Power BI.
