Job Title: Supervisor,Production – Fabrication Operations
Location: Conyers, GA
What we’re looking for:
The Supervisor, Production – Fabrication Operations provides frontline leadership to team leads and a team of hourly associates within Sheet Metal Forming and Machine Operations/Tube Fabrication. This role is responsible for ensuring production is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality and delivery expectations.
What you’ll be responsible for in this role:
- Lead daily production execution across fabrication processes for sheet metal forming (laser and punch turrets, sheet metal shears and press brakes) and tube and pipe fabrication (tube bending, collaring/hole pulling, and saws).
- Provide leadership, coaching, direction, and accountability for team leaders and hourly production associates to ensure safe and effective work execution.
- Maintain production schedules and ensure achievement of quality, productivity, and delivery performance targets.
- Develop, implement, and audit standard work while supporting training effectiveness and associate skill development.
- Enforce safety rules, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for associates, equipment, and facility operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives including labor productivity improvement, waste reduction, and structured root cause problem solving.
- Partner with Planning, Materials, Maintenance, Quality, Shipping, and other support functions to resolve operational issues and maintain production flow.
- Monitor labor performance and operational data to identify productivity trends and implement corrective actions.
- Support workforce management activities including hiring participation, skills matrix maintenance, staffing adjustments, attendance management, and overtime planning.
- Ensure effective inventory control practices for fabrication raw materials and work-in-process.
- Maintain accurate administrative processes including timekeeping documentation and performance tracking.
- Communicate performance expectations clearly and reinforce accountability while fostering positive morale and engagement.
- Other duties as assigned.
What are the basic qualifications?
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a leadership position (team lead, team captain, supervisor, shift lead, etc.)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment.
What are the preferred qualifications?
- Two years’ experience with 5S, Lean/Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
- Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to interact and work effectively with employees at levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be willing to work extended and/or weekend hours when required.
