As an Senior Accountant at Caterpillar, you are responsible to independently perform accounting functions which require preparation, analysis, and communication of high complexity issues that support Caterpillar business processes. The following job is within the Product & Strategy Business Resources team. The position supports Building Construction Products (BCP) leadership and product groups while also working closely with our enterprise Operating & Execution (O&E) team.
What You Will Do:
- Analyze, review, and report on Accountable Reporting Tool (ART), OPACC Analysis Tool (OAT) and Share of Market OPACC (SMO)
- Presentation and explanation of results to business resources management
- Support strategy, leadership, and executive office reviews
- Analyze and report on division progress towards profitable growth strategy commitments
- Identify and implement process and efficiency improvements
- Partner with the business to provide deeper strategic insights and solve challenges with a customer-oriented mindset
What You Have:

- Accounting: Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.
- Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
What Will Set You Apart:
- Education/Experience: Accounting degree; 7-10 years of job-related experience
- Resolve issues independently
- Understand and manage customer requirements and expectations
- Demonstrate initiative, leadership, good judgment and accountability as well as be able to work under pressure with tight timelines
- Demonstrate very good communication skills and have a comprehensive knowledge of Caterpillar businesses, products, suppliers and customers
- Have a proven record of accomplishments with previous experiences
Summary Pay Range:
$128,470.00 - $192,710.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
