Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Program Manager (Contractor) to lead the post-acquisition integration program following a recent company acquisition. This strategic role requires a high-impact leader who can bring clarity, structure, and alignment across a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with minimal formal processes. You’ll be the connective tissue across teams, ensuring that long-term initiatives are identified, planned, and executed with precision.
Candidates must have proven experience leading post-acquisition integration programs or large-scale transformation initiatives.
- Strong background in high-tech environments, especially SaaS and cloud technologies.
- Comfortable operating in companies with minimal structure—“seat of the pants” environments.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, especially with C-level executives.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and bring order to chaos.
- Experience building and managing program roadmaps, risk registers, and resource plans.
- Background in engineering or technical product management.
- Familiarity with integration/migration of large application portfolios.
- Prior experience in high-growth tech companies or startups.
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills for executive audiences.
Duties
- Program Leadership: Oversee the full integration program, acting as the central point of coordination across all workstreams.
- Project Inventory & Planning: Build a comprehensive list of long-term projects stemming from the acquisition (e.g., 150+ applications) and determine integration vs. migration paths.
- Strategic Alignment: Ensure all projects align with the agreed-upon roadmap and deliverables between Scopely and the acquired company.
- Cross-Functional Oversight: Break down silos and ensure teams are not operating in isolation. Assign projects appropriately and ensure accountability.
- Executive Communication: Build and deliver high-impact presentations to the CEO and executive leadership, outlining roadmap, risks, resources, and progress.
- Critical Thinking: Ask the right questions—especially when dealing with engineering and product teams—to uncover gaps and dependencies.
- Calm Under Pressure: Serve as a stabilizing force in a dynamic environment, fostering trust and clarity across leadership and execution teams.
- Lead post-acquisition IT integration activities, acting as the primary liaison between executives, IT, and business units
- Assess and rationalize existing IT systems, including cloud, SaaS, and workstation-based software, to develop a comprehensive technology disposition plan
- Prioritize systems based on business criticality, renewal timelines, migration complexity, and interdependencies
- Develop and execute a roadmap and timeline for migrations, deprecations, and parallel operations, including financial impact analysis
- Facilitate stakeholder alignment and decision-making across technical teams and executive sponsors
- Support PMO and IMO structures by standardizing reporting, risk tracking, and ensuring leadership alignment
- Create a repeatable integration playbook to guide future post-acquisition IT system integrations
