Overview
Job Summary
The Safety Coordinator serves as the on-site Safety Officer for the United Rotorcraft division; ensures continued compliance of all UR sites with applicable OSHA, EPA, FAA, and other safety-related agencies.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:
- Serve as the on-site Safety Officer for the United Rotorcraft division and is the primary point of contact for all safety-related issues
- Facilitate the Employee Health and Safety (EHS) Committee meetings
- Maintain all safety related reports (e.g., Confidential Safety Reports, Incident Reports, AIDMORs) to ensure execution of appropriate root cause and corrective action by area management
- Considered the SME for safety throughout UR and leads by example
- Conduct Safety Audits and reports results to appropriate management for resolution; Conduct Risk Assessments and analyze potential safety hazards of all aspects of operations (e.g., equipment, facilities, persons)
- Create analytical reports of safety data for UR and deliver routine safety reports to UR leadership
- Work with Facilities Management to order repairs for unsafe conditions/equipment
- Provide safety-related training to management and teammates at all levels
- Work with staff at all levels to identify opportunities to improve safety (personnel or product); creates safety plans that include suggested improvements to existing processes and infrastructure
- Attend/participate in continuing education to update knowledge of health and safety protocols, techniques, regulations, and standards
- Travel as needed to UR remote sites to conduct audits, risk assessments, training, etc.

Additional Job Requirements
- Regular scheduled and consistent attendance.
- Regular, scheduled attendance and consistent on-site, campus-wide, presence during duty hours is expected
- Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling - 5%
Subject to applicable laws and Air Method’s policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position. All employees must follow Air Methods’ employment practices and policies.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no direct reports requiring supervision; however, oversite of FSRs is required.
Qualifications

Education & Experience
- Associates degree in a technical field; and 2 years related experience and/or training in manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- BS in management, technical, or related field, or demonstrated relevant and equivalent industry experience preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years related experience in a safety-related position preferred
- Strong knowledge and understanding of OSHA, EPA, FAA Safety Regulations, and ISO Standards a plus
- Auditing and Risk Assessment experience a plus

- Must have excellent organization skills and be able to work multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrates high critical thinking and reasoning skills and strong attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment that requires ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of collaboration at all levels
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
Computer Skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, Access, and Share Point
- Previous experience with database/software configuration
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Safety-related certificates, licenses, or registrations a plus

USD $77,805.00/Yr.
Maximum Pay
USD $97,243.13/Yr.
