We have an exciting opportunity at Caterpillar for a Senior Security Investigator to investigate complex and sensitive internal allegations of serious violations of policy, procedure, or law throughout the enterprise.
What You Will Do:
- Collecting investigative facts as directed by the Chief Legal Officer, analyzing intelligence and forensic data within the scope of the investigation
- Executing interviews and investigative strategies; seeking legal collaboration, and approvals as required, for investigative steps
- Ensuring attorney client privilege, confidentiality and prompt collection of facts
- Documenting facts objectively, concisely, and promptly to support legal analysis
What You Have:
- Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems
- Data Gathering and Reporting: Knowledge of tools, techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company
- Confidential Investigations: Knowledge of the concepts, methods and tools used in confidential investigation; ability to implement confidential investigation and resolution processes concerning harassment complaints
- Risk Management: Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization's exposure to various kinds of risks; ability to apply knowledge of risk management appropriately to diverse situations.
- Crisis Management: Knowledge of crisis management concepts and techniques; ability to predict, avert, mitigate, and recover from an event that has or could have a severely negative impact on the business.
Education: Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience

- The primary locations for this position are Peoria, Illinois or Irving, Texas
- Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify

Summary Pay Range:
$147,760.00 - $221,640.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
