We are seeking a dynamic, relationship‑driven leader who can build deep, trusted partnerships with senior business stakeholders and the broader IT organization to deliver measurable value across an Animal Health commercial ecosystem. This role is ideal for someone who excels at navigating complex environments, connecting people and capabilities, and turning strategy into impactful digital outcomes.
Role Overview
The Animal Health IT Commercial Value Team strategizes and implements digital solutions and services that increase customer engagement, optimize customer experience, and create opportunities for measurable commercial outcomes and incremental revenue, informed by rich, data‑driven insights.
In close collaboration across Animal Health IT organization, the Business Technology Partner will be the single point of accountability for all Animal Health IT activities supporting Commercial Operations in the North America region. This leader will define and implement technology capabilities that meet strategic and operational business objectives while strengthening alignment between business and IT.
This Position Will
- Build and maintain relationships across the business, including engaging with key senior business leaders, and will leverage strong connections within the IT organization to drive value for the region.
- Manage staff through both direct and shared reporting relationships.
- Serve as an active member of the Animal Health IT Commercial Value Team leadership team, helping to shape the future direction of the Animal Health Commercial IT organization, people strategy, technology roadmap, and value realization.
The Role Has Overall Responsibility To Ensure Successful
- Achievement of US Commercial business outcomes.
- Adoption of an integrated, value‑based investment approach and program/project planning across a complex IT portfolio, leveraging and enhancing the marketing technology stack.
- Delivery and “pull through” of prioritized business outcomes by driving execution through US and global solution delivery capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with North America regional senior leaders to align business strategy with technology investments, including Master Data Management (MDM) and AI-enabled solutions that drive efficiency and market effectiveness.
- Establish a high‑performance engagement model with business partners and IT counterparts, building strong, trust‑based relationships across the ecosystem.
- Communicate and champion a cohesive regional Business–IT strategy.
- Solution Leadership & Innovation
- Provide leadership for the design and implementation of strategic, aligned, and compliant solutions that support business initiatives.
- Bring current knowledge and future vision of technology and systems as they relate to the commercial competitive position for Animal Health.
- Prioritize portfolio investments to drive value‑based strategic opportunities, leveraging existing commercial and digital platforms and/or collaborate with Commercial IT product line leaders to introduce innovative solutions with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Portfolio, Demand & Financial Management
- Manage regional demand, portfolio planning, forecasts, and updates across the region.
- Facilitate demand aggregation and prioritization, as well as sharing of resources and expertise for projects and support.
- Partner with Finance and IT portfolio management organizations to achieve operational and portfolio budgetary commitments.
- Platform Alignment & Architectural Governance
- Align regional demand with available Animal Health H‑IT platform solutions, strategic plans, architectural directions, and standards.
- Build awareness, adoption, and support for Animal Health H‑IT platform solutions, balancing standardization and simplification of the IT footprint with local business needs.
- People Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and manage a team of individual contributors who directly support regional commercial technology needs and help execute programs that enable business outcomes.
- Interact with and facilitate relationships with internal and external IT organizations to align priorities and ensure effective delivery of solutions and services for the region.
- Continually assess team talent and sourcing strategies, defining and executing a people management plan with a strong focus on Inclusion.

- Travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of IT experience in commercial, sales & marketing, and supply chain processes and systems.
- Proven experience partnering with senior business leaders (SVP, VP, ED) and building strong, trusting relationships.
- Prior experience managing a team of account managers or business analysts.
- Demonstrated experience as a customer‑focused business partner with strong account management and relationship management capabilities.
- Proven track record translating business strategy and requirements into IT capabilities and services.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact, negotiate, and effectively influence business leaders.
- Experience managing/coordinating projects and services across national boundaries and building effective cross‑functional teams.
- Proven track record of managing portfolio and finances to deliver on business objectives.
- Experience with the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

The salary range for this role is
$173,200.00 - $272,600.00
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.
The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
