Selected by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division for Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OM&S) of critical mission systems for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC), we support the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II).
Since 2020, through the (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II), has provided:
- Operations, maintenance, and Sustainment of current and legacy systems for the surveillance and cataloging of manmade objects in space.
- Mitigation of orbital conflicts.
- Threat warnings and control from airborne, land-based, and space-based systems for threat activities.
- Operations and maintenance of classified communications.
- Software development and integration.
NISSC II supports the classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability and legacy space C2 systems located at:
- Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station (CMSFS), Colorado
- Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), Colorado
- Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska
- Vandenberg Space Force Base, California
- Numerous sensor and forward operator sites around the world
Description of Duties:
The Execution Branch Chief will play a critical role in supporting the objectives of delivering capabilities for the ITW/AA system under the NISSC II contract. This position oversees project and agile development activities, ensures comprehensive testing, and coordinated delivery. The role requires focus on ensuring smooth project execution, effective communication, and collaboration across the Sustainment Team, government customers, and executive leadership. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional organizational skills, project management expertise, and the ability to manage multiple efforts while delivering on time, within budget, and aligned with stakeholder expectations:
- Government Customer Engagement: Establish and maintain productive relationships with government customers. This involves understanding their specific needs, objectives, and expectations related to the NISSC II contract. Regular communication and engagement with government representatives will be necessary to address inquiries, provide updates, and obtain feedback to ensure the successful delivery of services.
- Budget Management: Oversee financial decisions and manage the labor, material, and travel budget for the directorate. Ensures multiple projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meeting the required scope/quality.
- Information Management: Manage information flows will be a critical part of your responsibilities. This includes gathering, analyzing, and disseminating relevant information from both government customers and Amentum internal sources. You will need to ensure accurate and timely communication of pertinent details, such as contract requirements, project status updates, risks, and opportunities, to facilitate informed decision-making by both parties.
- Direction and Guidance: Effectively communicating the objectives, priorities, and strategic initiatives of Amentum, the PWS, and customer to the project teams working under the NISSC II contract. Understand the government customers' goals, expectations, and regulatory changes to Amentum’s leadership for consideration in decision-making processes.
- Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with government customers and Jacobs' corporate business office and executive leadership is crucial.
- Lead, plan, and organize a major technological department within a large group, ensuring alignment with company objectives and goals.
- Responsible for managing the budget and controlling costs associated with the projects performed within the NISSC II contract.
- Provide strategic guidance and direction over all projects and agile efforts.
- Assign personnel to appropriate projects and initiatives, considering individual strengths and team dynamics.
- Review and assess the performance and results of projects, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and knowledge sharing among team members.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements, ensuring the department remains at the forefront of technological innovation.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations and ensure the department's services meet or exceed those requirements.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management regarding project activities, performance, budget, and future plans.
This position is expected to pay $195,000 - $205,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
This position will be filled and work onsite at Colorado Springs, CO (Chidlaw Building).

Basic Requirements:
Must have one of the following combinations of education and general work experience: Bachelor’s degree and 14 years of general experience; Master’s and 12 years of general work experience; Doctorate and 10 years of general work experience.
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or management field
- Must have 8 years of directly related experience
- Must have 10 years of experience working in a management or leadership role
- Must have experience as a Deputy Directory, Division Lead, or Senior Project Manager in a large organization supporting IT functions.
- Must have a strong technical background and understanding of IT systems, software development, network services, cyber security, systems administration, and related areas.
- Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
Desired Requirements:
- Have a PMP certification
- Have an active DoD Top Secret w/ SCI eligibility

Compensation Details:
$195,000 to $205,000
