General Motors LLC is seeking a highly analytical and results-oriented Strategic Performance Business Analytics Lead to drive data-driven decision-making and optimize business performance across various initiatives. This role will leverage advanced analytics to provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the development and implementation of advanced analytical models and methodologies to assess business performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand business challenges and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Develop compelling data stories and visualizations to effectively communicate complex analytical findings to diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Facilitate group problem-solving sessions, guiding teams to leverage data for root cause analysis and solution generation.
- Apply strong business acumen to interpret data in the context of GM's strategic objectives and competitive landscape.
- Champion a customer-focused approach, ensuring analytical insights directly address and enhance the customer experience.
- Design and implement dashboards and reports that provide timely and relevant insights into strategic performance.
- Mentor and guide junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and data excellence.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in business analytics, strategic planning, or a related data-intensive role.
- Demonstrated strong business acumen with the ability to understand complex business operations and strategic objectives.
- Expert proficiency in developing and implementing data-driven solutions and statistical methodologies.
- Advanced skills in data storytelling and presenting complex information clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences.
- Experience facilitating group problem-solving and driving consensus through data insights.
- In-depth knowledge and practical application of probabilistic analysis and statistical process control (SPC).
- Strong customer-focused mindset with a track record of using data to improve customer outcomes.
- Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
