The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Major Event Team (MET) Leader to join the team in Seattle, WA or North Charleston, SC
The Major Event Team (MET) Leader is responsible for designing, coordinating, and executing large-scale company events while ensuring comprehensive security planning, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance. This role integrates program management, security operations, and event management to deliver a robust, scalable approach that protects attendees, executives, assets, and brand reputation. The MET Leader sets strategy, governs standards, leads cross-functional teams, and ensures consistent delivery of high-visibility events across locations and risk environments.
Position Responsibilities:
Program Management
Develop and implement MET strategy, growth roadmaps, and continuous improvement initiatives to increase program maturity, efficiency, and scalability
Establish and maintain governance, standard operating procedures, playbooks, and program documentation to ensure repeatability and compliance
Conduct annual program evaluations and scenario planning to forecast staffing needs, financial requirements, and capital investments
Operate and optimize a program cadence (operating rhythm) to track event schedules, planning documents, training, compliance milestones, and key metrics
Provide Protective Services leadership with clear, timely visibility into event planning status, risk posture, documentation, and team briefings
Major Event Planning & Logistics
Lead end-to-end planning and delivery for conferences, leadership and customer summits, shareholder meetings, executive offsites, product launches, and other high-visibility corporate events
Perform venue assessments, and provide Customer Relations (CR) with feedback on the location and how it impacts operational, security, accessibility, and brand standards
Design logistics plans covering transportation, guest arrival/departure flows, VIP handling, staging, production interfaces, and contingency operations
Coordinate and manage relationships with internal partners and external vendors (communications, production, transportation, venue operations, hospitality, and catering) to align scopes, timelines, budgets, and service-level expectations
Collaborate with event production team operations to ensure safety standards are met
Corporate Security & Risk Management
Develop, implement, and maintain event-specific security plans including layered access control, credentialing, perimeter security, security staffing models, and emergency response protocols
Lead venue and route risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability reviews to identify hazards and define mitigation strategies
Coordinate security integrations with internal teams, third-party security providers, venue security, and law enforcement to ensure cohesive coverage and information sharing
Monitor security posture and intelligence feeds pre-, during, and post-event; rapidly coordinate responses to incidents, credible threats, or suspicious activity
Ensure compliance with company policies, privacy and data protection regulations, local jurisdictional requirements, and contractual obligations
Cross Functional Collaboration
Partner with Security & Fire Operations, Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), and Global Security Activity teams to align deliverables, roles, and responsibilities
Work closely with threat intelligence, cybersecurity, legal, communications, and executive protection teams to address emerging risks and integrate technical, operational, and reputational safeguards
Develop and deliver pre-event briefings, executive summaries, and post-event debriefs/reports that capture lessons learned, incidents, and recommended improvements
Serve as a primary liaison to senior stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication of risk posture, resource needs, and operational decisions
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
10+ years of experience leading large-scale corporate events with complex logistics, multi-stakeholder coordination, and high-profile attendees
10+ years of experience managing multiple concurrent programs, prioritizing competing demands, and delivering under tight timelines and dynamic conditions
10+ years of experience in event security, corporate security, executive protection, emergency management, or a closely related field
10+ years experience collaborating effectively with law enforcement, local authorities, venue security, and internal security teams to coordinate operations and share intelligence
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with communication skills, with the ability to present complex risk information clearly to executives and cross-functional teams
Experience high attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and strong situational awareness in fast-moving environments.
Experience working in a calm, decisive, and adaptable way under pressure; capable of directing multi-disciplinary teams and making timely decisions
Experience with analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, metrics-driven program management, and after-action learning

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $129,000 - $173,000
