Description:Layout and construct a variety of simple and less complex jigs, flat templates, dollies, form
blocks, stands, etc.
❑ Work from drawings, sketches, samples, templates or instructions.
❑ Perform simple machining operations on millers, lathes, shapers etc., under guidance of
higher skilled jig builders.
❑ Use a variety of machine shop equipment such as drill presses, sanders, saws, etc.
❑ Assist other more skilled jig builders on more complex work whenever required.
❑ Perform all necessary work in the repair, rework and maintenance of a variety of simple and
semi-complex jigs, flat templates, dollies, form blocks, stands, etc.
❑ Perform all work under the direction of higher skilled jig builders.
❑ Refer any unusual problems or difficulty to the working leader, or higher skilled jig builders. ❑ Perform operator checklist as required.
❑ Contribute to the overall effectiveness of equipment by performing operator required
upkeep.
❑ Follow all rules and regulations pertaining to environmental health and safety.
❑ Segregate waste material and follow good housekeeping practices.
Responsible for the construction of a wide variety of simple and less complex jigs, form
blocks and other related tooling and accessories.
Basic Qualifications:
* Requires use of simple shop mathematics, specified formulas and less complicated precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers and ability to work from simple drawings and sketches.
* Knowledge of tool room methods and procedures required
* 1 year or more experience in machining
Desired Skills:
* Experience with milling and lathe machines
* Mechanical experience

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
