Not RequiredCollins Aerospace is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Power Distribution Test Equipment team. In this role, you will develop test equipment and setups for both development and qualification testing of aircraft electronic components. Our Test Equipment group supports programs and test facilities throughout the entire life cycle from development to production. This position offers constant new challenges as we continue to invent the future of electric power systems.
What You Will Do
-
Design, build, and commission test equipment and test setups for aircraft electronic components.

Analyze requirements for unit testing interfaces and electrical circuits.

Design harnessing for test equipment and test setups.
-
Incorporate instrumentation into test setups, including flows, pressures, load, torque, airspeed, vibration, and temperature.

Design and coordinate the build, checkout, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems with the hourly workforce.

Create electrical schematics to document designs.

Support development and qualification testing through hands-on instrumentation, data recording, and electrical system design.

Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop new test equipment and upgrade existing systems.

Assist in establishing the vision for modernizing test equipment using the latest technology.
Qualifications You Must Have
-
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field

Experience with the design, build, and checkout of complex test setups.

Experience creating electrical schematics.
Qualifications We Prefer
-
2 years of electrical design and integration experience.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Experience working with test operators to modify and set up test equipment.

Comfortable contributing to both large and small projects.

Hands-on experience with electrical systems.
-
Familiarity with or ability to support LabVIEW software development.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Visio and Project

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
