Overview
The Occupancy & Space Planner is responsible for managing space utilization, occupancy data, and workplace planning strategies across East Hanover and associated sites. This role ensures all space data, floor plans, and occupancy metrics are accurate, current, and aligned with corporate standards. The Planner supports strategic workplace planning, reporting, and optimization initiatives across office, laboratory, and shared environments. The role integrates closely with MAC, CAD, and workplace services to ensure alignment between space planning and operational execution. This position drives data-driven space utilization, workplace efficiency, and planning accuracy across the site.
Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000/YR
The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. You may be eligible to participate in a Company incentive or bonus program.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains accurate space and occupancy data, including floor plans, headcount allocation, and utilization metrics
- Develops and manages space utilization reporting, dashboards, and analytics
- Analyzes occupancy trends and identifies opportunities for space optimization and efficiency improvements
- Supports workplace planning initiatives, including lab, office, and shared space allocation
- Coordinates with MAC Manager to ensure all moves align with space planning and utilization strategy
- Works with CAD Manager to ensure all drawings and space records reflect current conditions
- Supports development and governance of workplace standards and space policies
- Ensures all space data and documentation are accurate, consistent, and audit-ready
Qualifications
Experience & Qualifications
- 3–6 years of experience in space planning, workplace planning, or facilities analytics
- Experience with CAFM / space management systems (REFSPACE, Archibus, etc.) preferred
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills (Excel, dashboards, utilization metrics)
- Experience working with CAD drawings and space documentation preferred
- Strong understanding of workplace planning concepts and utilization strategies
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in corporate, life sciences, or complex facility environments preferred
