Key activities you will accomplish in this role:• Be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and releasing requirements specification documents, including defining the requirements and verification baseline.
• Support program requirements and verification team projects and coordinate regularly with key partners to maintain program objectives.
• Quickly become a proficient independent contributor with program DOORS database and apply systems engineering change control process to retain control of the avionics requirements.
• Utilize change management process and tools to implement change control of the program baseline.
• Coordinate design review milestone meetings System Requirements Review (SRR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), etc) and support adopting program milestone reviews by understanding system level interfaces and integration.
• Problem solve design and integration issues with technology adoption into varying mission sizes and types.
To be effective in this role, you will need:• Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 1+ years of professional experience.

Let’s do Space!Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Experience in Systems Engineering, Project Engineering, or related technical discipline experience with knowledge of Systems Engineering concepts and processes.
Desired Skills:• Ability to define and document solutions to complex problems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience performing specification/requirement development and documentation.
• Experience with program and design review process: System Requirements Review (SRR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), Flight Readiness Review (FRR).
• DOORS or similar tool for requirements management, decomposition and publication.
• Experience with Avionics subsystems (e.g. electrical power, command/data handling).
• Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very complex problems and implement constructive change.
• Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or disciplines outside of Systems Engineering.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $70,100 - $123,625. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
