Overview
The Commercial HVAC-R Technician II performs maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and limited installation of assigned commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment for commercial and industrial client sites in Tucson, Arizona. This role supports controls, chilled water systems, boilers, package units, split systems, ice machines, and other related mechanical, electrical, and building systems in accordance with ABM client expectations and requests.Responsibilities

Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, calibrate, and adjust pilots, thermostats, burners, transformers, controls, relays, heaters, elements, switches, and other electrical system components.
- Use common HVAC-R trade tools in daily work, including multimeters, refrigerant gauges, charging charts, and hand tools.
- Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
- Identify maintenance risks on equipment and communicate recommended corrective actions.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for commercial HVAC systems, ice machines, and supporting equipment.
- Clean, adjust, and repair systems, and perform warranty-related service work as needed.
- Service, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial ice machines and related refrigeration components.
- Respond to emergency service calls promptly and efficiently.
- Provide technical support and guidance to less experienced technicians when needed.
- Keep daily logs and accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards, work instructions, and customer requirements.
- Assist with customer inquiries in a professional and service-oriented manner.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Three or more years of field-based commercial HVAC or HVAC-R experience is preferred, including experience servicing refrigeration equipment and ice machines.
- Must possess EPA Universal certification credentials.
- Must have refrigeration/HVAC trade, technical school, or vocational training; equivalent hands-on commercial HVAC-R experience may be considered.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must possess a valid, unexpired driver's license.
- Must be able to work independently, prioritize service calls, and maintain a high standard of customer service.
