Job Summary:
The SDE position will assess the PF supplier’s capacity & capability and ensure that External Suppliers’ products are free from defects and are following manufacturing specifications and legal standards. Ensuring the quality of supplies by conducting tests and assessments on incoming supplies to identify any quality issues; Developing supplier inspection, testing, and evaluation mechanism. Generating reports on supplier quality, by monitoring their defect rates and areas that can lead to potential flaws; Guiding suppliers to reduce and improve these defect rates. Researching the potential vendors, assessing their manufacturing environment, practices, and procedures; Conducting supplier performance control audits to ensure compliance with Global policies and standards. Leading suppliers in improving their delivery and cost performance through process enhancements.
What you will do:
· Lead supplier development process and provide guidance and approval for Suppliers’ APQP & PPAP documents
· Lead Suppliers’ CAV assessments
· Support Category Buyers and Suppliers to pursue cost reductions through Manufacturing process improvements, Design collaboration and Lean Manufacturing deployment
· Lead Suppliers Quality process to reach SER Certification
· Support CPPD discussions with Suppliers and Design Control
· Lead supplier’s NPE Capacity process and take actions when needed
Support Supply Chain team to maintain and improve Suppliers’ SSP results.
What you will have:
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies: Knowledge of organizational standards, procedures and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance.
Supplier Management - MFG: Knowledge of processes and methods to effectively manage business relationships and transactions with suppliers of raw materials or product components; ability to apply related knowledge, experience and skills into real practice.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Basic requirements:
Graduated in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgical, Production) – CREA needed.
Pre-advanced English.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and presentation skills.
Top candidates will also have:
6-Sigma Black Belt Certified
Advanced English
Post-graduate in Engineering or MBA
Leadership experience
Manufacturing and Quality Experience on the facility shop floor.
Note: This position requires the candidate to work on-site five days a week.
