Job Description
NBCUniversal is dedicated to fostering a culture grounded in principles of mutual respect. The Fair Employment group is part of the Labor & Employment Department and is comprised of three verticals (Fair Employment Practices & Policies, Fair Employment Training, and Positive Employee Relations), serving as a key, central point of contact to address concerns raised by employees, including complaints of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation; facilitating Respect in the Workplace training; and conducting employee roundtables.
The Specialist role is responsible for auditing, tracking, and reporting, as well as trend analysis related to the various programs and initiatives of the Fair Employment group across the enterprise. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, critical-thinking professional who is proactive, results-driven and understands the role and purpose within an organization. The Fair Employment Specialist reports to the Vice President, Fair Employment Practices & Policies, but also supports the Vice President, Fair Employment Training and the Vice President, Positive Employee Relations.
Responsibilities:
- Assign complaints that come in via the helpline/web portal
- Monitor internal investigations to ensure proper follow-up and case closure
- Audit internal investigations, including to ensure proper issue classification
- Analyze investigations data, training data, and roundtable data to identify trends in each category and across the categories
- Assist with metrics reporting on internal investigations, including NBCUniversal reporting and Comcast reporting
- Create, administer, and manage employee surveys and responses and analyze feedback
- Collect, organize, and interpret qualitative and quantitative feedback from multiple channels to extract key insights
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- 3+ years related working experience in a professional role requiring strong analytical and organizational skills, preferably in Employee Relations, Employment Law, or Human Resources
- Bachelor’s degree
Desired Characteristics:
- Ability to analyze statistical data and identify trends
- Proven ability to handle confidential information
- Sound business judgment, and flexibility/adaptability to manage multiple time-sensitive matters, including appropriately prioritizing among them
- Excellent and accurate oral and written communication skills; proven problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and across all levels of company personnel
- Experience in working with multiple clients across departments and geographies
- Able to work in a team-oriented environment; willing to assist others as needed
- Solid attention to detail, highly organized
- Proficiency with web-based databases and Microsoft Office suite
This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the New York, NY office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.

Salary range: $65,000 - $80,000.
