What you will do:*
-
Sets-up, calibrates, operates and programs 3D Printing and other Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines to complete specific production steps or processes, such as producing machined parts.

Studies work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances.

Checks statistical process control charts for frequency of checks, gauging and measurements.

Monitors and verifies quality in accordance with statistical processes or other control procedures.

Perform assigned tasks and/or processes to restore areo-engine and/or land-based turbine airfoil components to their original form, fit and function.

Calibrate, operate and program CNC a variety of computer numerical control machines and 3D Printers to produce machined and/or processed components.

Analyzes and interprets statistical process control charts to interpret compliance to geometric dimensions and tolerances.
-
Assist process and product engineers in repair development initiatives and troubleshooting process anomalies and/or process failures.

Assist in the creation, implementation and maintenance of procedures as required in support of product or process improvement initiatives.

Research and develop new production techniques and/or tooling to improve throughput, reduce scrap/rework, improve product quality.

Maintain appropriate documentation for all work in accordance with company standards and customer requirements.

Provide guidance and training to hourly associates.
-
Assist engineering with disposition of parts on DMR (Discrepancy Material Report).
-
Assist hourly associates to obtain appropriate training to maintain the correct knowledge in all regulations, procedures, and processes.

Assist and participate as required with all FAA, airline, AS9100, and other audits.

Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to determine best manufacturing process design.

Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with approved data and conforms to all quality standards and specifications.

Work with associates to help meet Customer contractual deadlines (i.e. turn-around time).

Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications you must have:

High School diploma or GED equivalent with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
Qualifications We Prefer:

1 years of progressively responsible experience, preferably in the refurbishment of aero-engine components

Background in Aerospace and/or Aviation

Previous Quality Inspection Experience

Experience in a Team Lead role
