The Boeing Company is seeking a talented and skilled Test and Evaluation Engineer to work in the Boeing Test and Evaluation's Space Systems Laboratory in El Segundo, California.
This role will participate in support of various defense and commercial satellite and aerospace product test programs. Space Systems Laboratory environmental test capabilities
include thermal vacuum, thermal cycle, vibration, acoustic, shock, and separation systems (ordnance).
This position is primarily 1st shift; however occasional shift changes may be required to support round the clock testing.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate, Mid-Level, and Senior level Test and Evaluation Engineers.
Position Responsibilities:
Assists in demonstrating the effectiveness of test methods
Develops simple test procedures, and instrumentation and configuration definition needed to perform the test and minimize risk
Designs component and sub-assembly level hardware or software and uses analytical tools to verify the design
Assists in coordinating the manufacture and assembly of test hardware
Identifies solutions to basic problems and supports the development of metrology processes, methods, and tools
Supports development of test debrief material
Participates in evaluation of test performance data
Reviews test data for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity prior to delivery to customer
Alerts senior engineers of off-nominal data
Prepares test reports for review
Works under general supervision
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
2+ years of experience working in a laboratory test environment
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Level 3: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Level 4: 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Active U.S. Secret or higher Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required)
Experience conducting dynamic testing (vibration, acoustic, and shock)
Experience designing test setups, writing test procedures, software for control and data acquisition systems, and conducting tests
Experience troubleshooting technical system issues
Experience with space environment
Experience with space products and/or platforms

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range for Associate level (Level 2): $90,950 – $123,050
Summary Pay Range for Mid-level (Level 3): $111,350 – $150,650
Summary Pay Range for Senior level (Level 4): $135,150 – $182,850
