Having completed more than 51,000 private placements in nearly 500 private companies, EquityZen is on a mission to deliver “Private Markets for the Public.” EquityZen is looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Operations Analyst to help drive our transactions and join our growing team Deal and Investor Operations team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end deal process and execution, working cross-functionally with Sales, Research, Legal, and Compliance teams to drive transactions to a timely close.
- Communicate directly with clients, shareholders, and investors to efficiently collect all documentation necessary for transactions.
- Identify opportunities to automate and optimize deal processes and business methods, partnering closely with Product and Engineering to execute these improvements in line with workflow goals.
- Design and execute data analytics to deepen the team's understanding of the Marketplace and assist with strategic platform, product, and process decisions.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives as necessary.
- Work with banking, brokerage, and investment company partners to coordinate activity within our Special Purpose Vehicles, especially when a private investment turns public
Qualifications:
- 0–2 years of work experience, or a recent graduate with relevant internship experience.
- Undergraduate degree required.
- An entrepreneurial spirit paired with a deep passion for and interest in the world of venture capital, finance, technology, and the pre-IPO space also a plus.
- A proactive self-starter who is excited to roll up their sleeves, take ownership, and continuously learn.
- Exceptional attention to detail in both written communication and quantitative analysis (e.g., noticing and resolving account balances that don’t reconcile or make sense).
- A natural "systems thinker" with the ability to quickly understand and map complex processes, identify risks and root causes of issues, and design and implement controls to make the deal process more efficient.
- Previous internship (or professional) experience in private placements, capital markets, FinTech marketplaces, internet-based investment firms, crowdfunding, or P2P lending.
- Hands-on experience with data analytics and financial modeling is a plus

Expected base pay rates for the role will be $72,000.00 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package
