The Boeing Company is currently seeking aSimulation Framework Software Managerto support our Simulation Frameworks, Services, and Tools (SFST)Deployment team locatedinBerkeley, Missouri.This position will focus on supporting the Software Fabric / Boeing Emulation, Simulation, Test and Analysis Framework (BESTAF) business organization
This is a software management role on theSFSTDeployment team thatdeliverssimulation software across the Boeing enterprise.Oursuite of tools supportssoftware verification, hardware verification,aircrewtrainers, and warfare scenario simulation. Our group works allfacetsof software engineeringincludingestimating,planning,requirements, design,development,testing,and integrationof products in their relevant environments.

Position Responsibilities:
Manage employees performing engineering and technical activities related to simulation framework deployments
Develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies andproceduresand set operational goals that help the Boeing Company meet its commitments
Develop andmaintainrelationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers,partnersand direct reports
Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches,productsand processes.Identifyopportunities for improvement
Support, develop, and motivate employees
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader,tempmanager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”Bachelors Degree
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US GovernmentrequiresUS Citizenship
3+ years of experience in leading or managing software engineering activities
5+ years of experience with the software development life cycle
2+ years of experience working in aerospace, defense, or similar high-tech industry
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualificationsdirectly relatedto the work statement
Active security clearance
Experience managing and/or leading a team either formally or informally, with the ability to provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members
Experience with team building,developingand motivating employees
Strong communication,presentationand problem-solving skills, as well as excellent interpersonal, management/business skills
Comfortable with ambiguity and adapting to change
Strong background in simulation software engineering
Strong background in software testing
Knowledgeable of industry standards for high-integrity, safety-critical software
Knowledgeable of DevOps practices, automation, and continuous integration pipelines

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range for Manager level (Level K): $160,650– $217,350
*Potential signing bonus for eligible/qualified external candidates
