Provide analytical support across the product lifecycle, encompassing preliminary and detailed designs, development, validation, certification, and operational service.

Conduct aerodynamic and heat transfer analyses using CFD tools (e.g., STAR CCM+, Ansys FLUENT) and/or classical methods to optimize propeller system performance.

Develop and document analysis conclusions to establish design requirements, supported by analysis, testing, past service data, and engineering judgment.

Generate detailed engineering reports to communicate results from analysis and test activities.
-
Analyze and address in-service performance issues, providing data-driven recommendations for resolution.

Participate in internal and external product design engineering teams and reviews, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Work closely with engineering teams in Windsor Locks, CT, and Figeac, France, fostering effective communication and coordination.

Define and oversee testing programs, including data acquisition, reduction, and analysis.
-
Independently manage moderately complex projects and assignments with minimal supervision, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes.

Occasionally travel domestically and internationally to support project requirements.

Qualifications you must have:
-
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.

Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
-
Experience in aerospace, defense, or related industry.
-
Experience in the analysis of aerospace components, particularly in the context of aerodynamic and thermal performance.

Aerodynamic analysis experience with tools such as STAR CCM+/Ansys FLUENT or equivalent CFD software.
-
Previous experience modeling rotating machinery (e.g., propellers, rotors, turbines).
-
Understanding of basic aircraft design philosophy and principles.
-
Experience with data reduction and analysis of large test data sets.
-
Proficiency with Siemens NX or similar CAD software for design and modeling.
-
Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., MATLAB, Python, Fortran); Fortran experience is a plus.

Basic understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, such as TeamCenter.
