About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Salesforce Platform Developer to build and enhance solutions within our Salesforce ecosystem, with a strong focus on B2B Commerce.
Our Salesforce environment spans Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and B2B Commerce, with a strong focus on modernizing our Sales pipeline and eCommerce capabilities.
This role is primarily project-based (approximately 80%), focused on delivering enhancements and new functionality across Salesforce. The remaining portion includes Tier 3 support and platform improvements as needed.
You will work closely with business analysts and technical leadership to implement solutions that align with business needs and platform best practices. Success in this role requires strong development skills combined with a solid understanding of how configuration, security, and data model decisions impact the broader system.
Solution Implementation
- Build Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and B2B Commerce using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, Visualforce, and Flow
- Implement enhancements based on defined requirements, ensuring scalability and maintainability
- Identify gaps or risks in proposed solutions and raise them early
B2B Commerce
- Build and support Salesforce B2B Commerce Lightning functionality
- Work with product catalogs, pricing models, and storefront configurations
- Contribute to ongoing enhancements and modernization of an existing B2B Commerce implementation
Platform Quality & Design Awareness
- Apply knowledge of profiles, permission sets, sharing model, and data access in all implementations
- Ensure changes align with existing data models and do not introduce unintended side effects
- Follow established deployment and version control processes
Integration & Support
- Support integrations with ERP and other systems via APIs and middleware (e.g., Boomi)
- Troubleshoot Tier 3 issues across Salesforce and integrated systems
- Assist in diagnosing data, automation, and performance issues
RequirementsEducation/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3-5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience
- Strong experience with:
- Apex
- Lightning Web Components (LWC)
- Flow
- Aura and/or Visualforce
- Hands-on experience building and customizing Salesforce B2B Commerce Lightning solutions
- Experience with storefront configuration, product/catalog setup, and pricing models
- Experience working within the B2B Commerce Lightning data model and architecture
- Experience supporting or migrating from B2B Commerce Classic is a plus
- Solid understanding of:
- Profiles and Permission Sets
- Sharing model and data access
- Salesforce data model and relationships
- Experience with integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, middleware such as Boomi or MuleSoft)
- Familiarity with version control and deployment processes (Git, CI/CD tools)
Preferred
- Agile/Scrum experience in project delivery in Jira
- Experience working in environments that include Service Cloud and Marketing Cloud
- Familiarity with Marketing Cloud integrations or triggered sends from Salesforce
- Experience with quoting, order management, or customer portals
- Experience in B2B industries such as manufacturing, wholesale, or distribution
