The Fleet Sourcing Lead is responsible for acquiring high‑quality used equipment to support the Major Projects rental fleet, with a focus on heavy rental assets deployed to $2B+ projects across North America. This role drives sourcing strategy, competitive procurement, and supplier management while partnering closely with dealers, internal stakeholders, and external sellers to ensure fleet availability, cost discipline, and asset quality.
This position plays a critical role in scaling the Major Projects rental fleet efficiently by supplementing new equipment purchases with strategically sourced used assets.
What You Will Do:
Lead the sourcing and purchase of used equipment to support the Major Projects rental fleet, ensuring assets meet cost, condition, and readiness requirements.
Build and manage strong relationships with Cat dealers, internal partners, and external suppliers to identify and secure high‑quality used equipment opportunities.
Apply disciplined, competitive bidding and negotiation practices to drive market‑based pricing, speed to acquisition, and capital efficiency.
Partner cross‑functionally with fleet planning, operations, logistics, and project teams to align sourcing activities with forecasted demand and deployment timelines.
Drive continuous improvement of used equipment sourcing processes, governance, and reporting to enable scalable fleet growth and consistent execution.
What You Have:

- Value Selling: Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs.
Summary Pay Range:
$128,470.00 - $192,710.00
