HOW THE WINDOWS SYSTEMS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Installing, configuring, supporting, and deploying Windows operating systems, as well as ensuring their security and performance.
- Work with both physical and virtual servers, and be responsible for tasks like virus updates, patches, and performance tuning.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or other IT-related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
- Experience: 15+ years
- Required technical skills:
- Experience with Windows systems engineering and administration, including:·
- MSSQL databases
- Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS)
- VM clusters
- Hyper-V
- Data Protection Manager
- PowerShell scripting
- Demonstrated experience with Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes to accredit security-controlled systems.
- Tools and technologies:
- Windows Server operating systems (e.g., Server 2016, Server 2019, Server 2022).
- Windows desktop operating systems (e.g., Windows 10, Windows 11).
- Microsoft Group Policy Management (for managing settings across multiple machines).
- Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) (for managing updates).
- Virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Security clearance level:TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Location: Dulles, VA (On Customer Site)
