Responsibilities
- Design and follow test processes and procedures to ensure software operates within defined requirements
- Develop, execute, and maintain manual test cases and test plans
- Perform routine manual testing to validate software functionality, usability, and reliability
- Identify, document, and investigate issues found during testing
- Clearly report defects and support troubleshooting efforts through detailed documentation
- Collaborate with software quality analysts, developers, and team members to support issue resolution
- Participate in test case reviews and validation activities to ensure coverage and accuracy
- Assist with regression testing and validation of fixes
- Follow established QA standards, tools, and methodologies
Skills
- Understanding of manual testing concepts, test cases, and test plans
- Basic knowledge of software development lifecycles (SDLC)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under supervision
- Familiarity with defect tracking or test management tools
- Basic understanding of Agile or Waterfall development methodologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Experience
- Up to 3 years of relevant experience in software testing or quality assurance (internships or academic projects count)
- Understanding of manual testing concepts, test cases, and test plans
- Basic knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
