Description:What You Will Be DoingWill be responsible for researching, coordinating, designing and implementing tool engineering and designs job for maintaining and enhancing AMMM and other programs needing assistance. This position supports suppliers and feeder plants. This engineer will monitor request from suppliers both domestic and international through SPAR, SATR and REA’s submission. This position will review, document, research and disposition the request to support as required. This position also may travel to suppliers when required to review issues, aid in resource and work tooling related activities. This position is necessary and in agreement with the program office to properly staff the Tool engineering team as a critical support organization. This position will be the Tool engineer for checking concepts and designs of team members and vendor support for AMMM. Also may work tool engineering projects for AMMM when needed per management.

Discover Marietta.Basic Qualifications:• Experience with basic blueprint reading and mechanical engineering concepts (stress analysis, & / statics and strength of materials).
• Experience with electronic drafting &.or design software.
Desired Skills:• Previous hands on mechanical experience, computer aided design experience on any 3D drawing and analysis software package.
• Exposure to root cause analysis and continuous improvement concepts.
• Exposure to Vendor support and ability to travel domestically and internationally.
• Exposure to disposition tooling request from vendors on tooling issues and ability to research and validate request.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
