Role Definition:
The individual hired for this position will collaborate with the software, tools and technology teams to create architectural guidelines, frameworks and patterns that application teams will follow to build high-quality, consistent and scalable software for RTOS & Linux based applications across the product lines. The individual will provide team mentorship that includes providing schedule adherence and alignment. Reporting to stakeholders will be required on a regular basis to ensure alignment to organizational commitments.
What You Will Do:
- Collaborate with application teams and establish application architecture guidelines for software modularity, communication patterns, common services and ensure governance across teams.
- Ensure consistent design with standardized layering, interfaces and reusable components to improve maintainability
- Collaborate with application teams to identify and establish shared libraries, services and create test suites.
- Work closely with application and platform teams to ensure smooth integration between application layer and underlying platforms. Coordinate interface points, like application access to platform services and support in new feature development as needed.
- Build prototypes to test architecture ideas and refine guidelines. Help teams resolve technical issues through hands-on support.
- Team mentorship that includes strategy emphasis and alignment to organizational goals.

- Software Product Design/Architecture: Knowledge of software product design; ability to convert market requirements into the software product design.
Top Candidates Will Have:
- Extensive experience in software design, development tools and activities; ability to produce software products or systems in line with product requirements.
- Skilled in design of complex software systems, including defining module boundaries, choosing technologies in the role of a technical lead.
- Demonstrated experience in RTOS/Linux software development, including real-time operating systems such as FreeRTOS.
- Proficiency in testing framework like google test and embedded build system workflows
- Strong scripting capabilities (Python, Bash) and debugging skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across embedded, validation, and systems engineering teams.
- Accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
- Advanced Degree in accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
- High level of proficiency in programming languages like C, C++ and testing frameworks like Google test
- Exposure to CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively with a diverse group
Additional Details:
- This position requires the candidate to work full-time at the Mossville, IL office.
- Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.

Summary Pay Range:
$128,470.00 - $192,710.00
