Caterpillar Inc. is currently seeking an EHS Coach to provide support to Operations, EHS, and Manufacturing Engineers. The EHS Coach will assist the team with the following activities in addition to special assignments/projects. Position includes a wage of $28.75/hour including a 8%-night shift premium, quarterly goal sharing program and a comprehensive benefit program that begins on Day 1.

In this role you may be expected to:
- Provide spot safety coaching with employees
- Assist with resolution of Safety Continuous Improvement Cards
- Verify hoist/lifting tackle inspections
- Audit Lifting Plans for Sign Off & Content
- Train New Employees on Hands-On Crane Safety & Overview Presentation
- Perform & Review all HOP's conducted and follow up on action items
- Conduct Safety/Ergo Checklist
- Review and audit SFMEA’s and Job Hazard Analysis (Current Production & NPI (MHE T4F, Fire Plow, 2 Way Dozer, SSLGP, etc.)
- Assist with accident or near miss investigations including root cause analysis
- Work with Manufacturing Engineer's on new tooling and workstation set up
- Perform REBA assessments
- Audit operation of prime product in Off-Line & Testing per Safe Operating Procedures
- Attend, as well as speak, at PIDs and Review Safety Incidents
- Participate on Safety Walks with Engineering, EHS, Operations and the Evaluation Process / Follow-up on Walks
- Participate in Initial Response with Cross Functional Team to all safety incidents and assist in development of ICA and PCA
- Assist with spill response
- Monitor Contractor Safety
- Provide summaries to leadership
Administrative Duties:
- Attend Safety Team Meetings
- Participate in Safety Stand Downs
- Categorize all safety incidents into Focus Four categories
- Update safety boards and create new safety initiatives
- Provide required instructor led safety training - New Hire Orientation
- Develop Safe Job Procedures based off of SFMEA Review and Create updates in Geneo Standard Work
- Participate in all reviews of layout changes (MHE & STTT) to evaluate safety and ergonomics, along with develop baseline with current layout
- Participate in annual review of lifting tackle and verify new tags have been attached
- Participate in review of any modifications to existing lifting tackle or new designs for feedback as well as participate in the validation
- Attend SWO meetings
- Learn how to conduct training for prime product operators
Basic qualifications:
- Must be able to work in team environments
- Must have Intermediate proficiency (Basic skills/knowledge. Capable of functioning independently in Microsoft Office Applications
Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):
- Willing and able to sit or stand for prolonged periods
- Willing and able to perform repetitive operations
- Willing and able to lift up to 35 lbs.
Top candidates will also have:
- Experience in Environmental Health & Safety
- Experience as a Team Lead/Supervisor
- Environmental Health & Safety team participation (ex. Safety Committee, First Responder, Spill Response Team Member, etc.)
- Experience handling non-hazardous and hazardous wastes
- Safety Rapid Improvement Workshop participation
- Further education

2nd Shift Hours -:
FABS- Monday-Thursday, 3:00 pm-2:30 am
Assembly- Monday-Thursday, 5 pm – 3:30 am
3rd Shift Hours:
Logistics Sunday- Thursday, 11pm- 7:30 am

Summary Pay Range:
$26.62 - $33.25
