Job Description
The Manager, Distribution Partnerships for Brazil will support the growth and optimization of Universal+’s distribution footprint across both traditional and non-traditional partners in the Brazilian market. This role is responsible for managing and expanding partnerships across Pay TV operators, telecom providers, OTT platforms, connected devices, as well as retail, financial institutions, credit card companies, fintech platforms, and other emerging distribution ecosystems. The Manager will work cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Affiliate Sales, Ad Sales, Finance, and Legal teams to execute commercial agreements, drive subscriber acquisition and retention, and optimize monetization strategies in Brazil. The ideal candidate combines strong commercial acumen, digital ecosystem knowledge, analytical rigor, and the ability to manage complex partner relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow distribution partnerships across traditional (Pay TV, telcos) and digital/non-traditional ecosystems in Brazil.
- Identify new opportunities with retail, banking, credit card, fintech, device manufacturers, and OTT partners to expand market reach.
- Support the structuring of bundled subscription models, promotional offers, loyalty integrations, and embedded subscription programs.
- Maintain strong day-to-day relationships with key partners to ensure performance and long-term collaboration.
- Support negotiations and renewals of distribution agreements, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and local market dynamics.
- Coordinate contract execution in partnership with legal and finance teams.
- Monitor partner compliance with contractual KPIs and performance commitments.
- Work closely with the Product Development team to ensure partnership integrations align with platform capabilities, roadmap priorities, billing systems, and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with Marketing to execute co-branded campaigns that drive subscriber acquisition and engagement.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators including subscriber growth, churn, ARPU, CAC, LTV, and campaign performance.
- Support optimization of revenue-sharing agreements and commercial models.
- Identify opportunities to improve acquisition funnels, retention initiatives, and monetization strategies.
- Collaborate with Affiliate Sales and Ad Sales teams to align traditional and hybrid (subscription + advertising) monetization strategies.
- Prepare performance reports and business updates for regional leadership.
- Monitor competitive activity, regulatory changes, and digital distribution trends in Brazil.
- Share market insights and performance learnings to inform regional strategy.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- 5–8 years of experience in partnership management, business development, or commercial roles within OTT, Pay TV, telecom, digital media, retail, fintech, or financial services ecosystems.
- Experience managing both traditional distribution partners (Pay TV operators, telcos) and non-traditional partners (retail, banks, credit card companies, fintech, digital platforms).
- Strong understanding of digital distribution models, including SVOD, telco bundles, subscription models, and customer lifecycle economics.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Product Development teams, supporting integrations, roadmap alignment, and technical execution of partnerships.
- Solid understanding of digital marketing and performance KPIs, including churn, ARPU, funnel conversion metrics, and campaign ROI.
- Strong analytical and financial skills, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, revenue tracking, and performance reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (financial analysis, dashboards, pivot tables) and PowerPoint. Experience building client-facing presentations is required. Knowledge of Canva or similar tools is a plus.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English (written and verbal) required. Spanish is a plus.
