What We're Looking For
Business analysts act as advisors to the business and support sound decision making through the use of data driven insights, coupled with strong business acumen. They work with stakeholders to understand business challenges, design queries and reports to understand root cause and advise and consult with leadership to implement solutions. Business Analysts support the operations they are aligned with by providing reporting, interpretation and data-based recommendations to business leaders.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities
- Working directly with business stakeholders, designs complex reports using data from multiple disciplines and potentially impacting multiple business units. Delivers report in format to aid stakeholders, including executive staff, outside the functional area (powerpoint, PDF, etc).
- Demonstrates the ability to translate complex analytics into strategic business direction. Is considered to be a high level contributor/ specialist and influential trusted advisor
- Demonstrates strong executive level communication which includes the right focus, level of detail and tone for all exchanges
- Capably navigates executive level stakeholder management and alignment
- Represents analytics in executive strategy discussions. Defines how analytics teams can support execution against strategy
- Reviews delivered reports for data accuracy. Works independently to resolve quality issues of complex scope directly with business stakeholders. Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
- Demonstrates expert level knowledge of KPIs, team roles, and business processes in assigned area as well as interconnections with data and processes in adjacent areas and across enterprise systems and functions
- Demonstrates understanding of and is a key contributor to Zebra's analytics strategy
- Uses business acumen to look beyond the data to generate recommendations for a wide variety of moderately complex problems to review directly with business stakeholders.
- Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles
- Intimately understands system relationships and data flow. Uses industry best practices for data management
- Maintains data quality and governance is assigned systems. May be responsible for data governance processes and quality in assigned area of responsibility. Leads governance initiatives and performance optimization
- Coaches junior level analysts in data governance, report design and analysis, and data presentation as well as in technical and organizational effectiveness
- Demonstrates advanced understanding of data governance, enterprise systems, and multi-domain integrations
- Demonstrates advanced knowledge of strategic data policy and compliance frameworks
- Architects highly complex, multi-unit analytical frameworks
- Role models and drives innovation and embracing advancing technologies to fuel maturity and evolution of analytics, including AI, machine learning and predictive analytics. Drives a data culture.
- Operates with full autonomy, provides thought leadership and executive-level analytics strategy
- Coaches junior level analysts in data governance, report design and analysis, and data presentation as well as in technical and organizational effectiveness
- Drive consistency and scale of process, tools, and policies for Indirect Procurement both internal to Indirect Procurement as well as across the Zebra organization.
- Focus on organizational level KPIs and measurements
- Drive KPI improvements and operational efficiency
- Enable our teams to operate more efficiently through data access, analytics and business insights, and automation roadmap
- Drive Global Procurement transformational roadmap and strategic initiatives (ex. Vendor segmentation, Spend mapping, Indirect operational maturity)
- Partner with cross functional teams representing the Procurement organization in large scale transformation activities (ex. Acquisitions, Guided buying, SRM systems)
Job Requirements
- 12+ years experience
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience, Advanced degree preferred

- Presentation skills advanced required. Some formal training in public speaking / presentation skills preferred. Experience presenting to VP / executive audiences
- Can capably work on ambiguous assignments
- Governance ownership experience with defining and driving accountability against standards
- Conflict resolution skills
- Mastery / expert level skills in cloud data warehouse solutions, data transformation tools, data modelling and predictive analytics
- Can design enterprise level dashboards that integrate complex data sets across business areas
- Experience with advanced data modelling
- Expert level data engineering and optimization
- Advanced to expert level Python skills for scription automation and validation, AI integration and predictive analytics
- SQL Expert level
- Process modeling tools (Visio, Lucidchart)

Pay Range
$122,800.00 - $184,200.00 Annual
Incentive Compensation
In addition to base pay, Zebra offers this role the opportunity to earn a performance-based annual cash incentive, at a target equal to 12% of base pay, in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.

Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.

In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
