Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas (TMMTX) is seeking a dedicated and proactive Logistics Operations Analyst to help keep our production running smoothly and efficiently. As a Logistics Operations Analyst, you will oversee more than 200 daily logistics routes and manage key vendor and supplier relationships to ensure timely deliveries and operational excellence. Reporting directly to the Manager of Eternal Logistics, you’ll be at the heart of Toyota’s commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
Reporting to the Manager of External Logistics, you will play a key role in managing over 200 logistics routes in close coordination with Production Control Hoshin.
This position is based in Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas (TMMTX) in San Antonio, TX. The selected candidate must reside within a commutable distance.
What you’ll be doing
Monitor and manage 200+ daily logistics routes to guarantee on-time deliveries and operational efficiency
Coordinate 10-15 urgent logistics requests daily to support dynamic production needs
Oversee daily operations of four logistics providers (Ryder, Spartan, Vascor, Carter), ensuring top-notch service
Collaborate with suppliers to troubleshoot logistics challenges and optimize routes
Track, analyze, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance logistics performance
Manage TMMTX Shunt Operations with Hero Logistics for seamless internal flow
Lead contingency planning and kaizen initiatives to reduce costs and improve processes
Support monthly route design and optimization using the Toyota Logistics Management systems
Oversee budget monitoring and invoice processing for logistics services
Partner with Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) Logistics on vehicle logistics cost initiatives
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree or higher, or 2–3 years of equivalent professional experience in supply chain management
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Availability to support off‑shift operations, including all shifts, weekends, shutdowns, and after‑hours response for supply chain interruptions as needed
Ability to manage with urgency, particularly during production interruptions
Experience building and maintaining relationships with vendors and suppliers across multiple departments
Strong project planning and management skills in production environments
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record
Added bonus if you have
Academic background in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field
Experience in North American manufacturing or production control environments
Familiarity with Toyota’s supply chain contingency management practice
Experience with, or exposure to, data analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI and Power Apps
Experience applying Toyota methodologies, including Toyota Business Practice (TBP), JKK (Building in Quality with Ownership), Plan Do Check Action (PDCA), A3 (one page reporting), and 5‑Why analysis
Completion of Toyota Business Practice (TBP) through a formal panel review
