A phenomenal opportunity exists to join us in the role of Maintenance Center Planning Manager for the Geared Turbofan (GTF) family of engines at our East Hartford, CT Campus. Candidates filling this role will be responsible for induction planning and strategy across multiple Maintenance & Repair Organizations (MROs) located around the world. This position reports to the Associate Director, Induction Planning & Logistics Team, and is part of the Pratt & Whitney Commercial Engines Aftermarket Organization. The core functions of this role will be performed onsite at the P&W Campus in East Hartford. Additionally, this position will involve domestic/international travel to MROs up to 10% of the time.
What You Will Do:*
Manage induction planning and strategy for the GTF engine overhauls that considers: GTF fleet needs, shop capability and capacity, profitability, operator fleet requirements, throughput optimization, and Aircraft on the Ground (AOG) mitigation

Contract management - understand contract language and execution with maintenance centers and tie-ins to Operators (Airlines)

Host daily induction meetings to coordinate information flow across functional groups and stakeholders and ensure successful inductions at assigned maintenance centers

Work closely with the Fleet Management Team to identify and schedule suitable engines for shop visits to meet the needs of the fleet while optimizing network efficiency

Prepare new maintenance centers for entry into the network ensuring they are fully prepared to schedule and execute shop visit inductions, work-scope engines, report status, and have necessary access to our digital systems.

Understand and execute capacity planning for overhaul shops, using forecasts from other groups to determine demand and aligning that with the shops' capacity across the major programs

Coordinate Induction Execution Reviews with assigned maintenance centers at their facilities and on-site in East Hartford, CT

Execute and understand all major shop metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and work with shops and P&W team to drive continuous improvement

Develop and formalize new businesses processes to increase effectiveness and efficiency across the planning, scheduling, and execution of shop visit inductions

Bachelor’s Degree

8 years of experience in a technical or business environment with experience with contract oversite, planning and execution of shop visit and process management or a Master’s Degree with 5 years of experience as listed above

Proficiency in Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Power Point
Qualifications We Prefer:

BS or MS/MA/MBA in Engineering or Business

Project management experience in a technical business or operations environment

Proficiency in data analysis – understanding and developing metrics, manipulating and synthesizing data, familiarity with Power BI and open-source software

Experience teaming with other groups and organizations

Coordination and communication - skilled in giving a clear message, including technical topics, and bringing far-off groups together

Understanding of the business processes involved in gas turbine engine overhaul and related technical issues

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
